Hi,
If you’re receiving this email it’s because you subscribed to The Earthly Kitchen blog, which has been renovated into this substack. The Earthly Kitchen is a hub for all the stuff I’m writing, reading, and thinking about, which are: books, (fiction and non), news, liberal politics in particular, gender studies, parenting, defining feminism and masculinity, the craft of writing, and whatever else. This is the perfect newsletter if you’re a a reader, a wannabe reader that just wants the gist of things, or a writer and/or MFA student/graduate. If none of that applies to you, now would be a good time to hit that “unsubscribe” button.
In the upcoming weeks and months, I’ll be publishing author interviews, book recommendation reviews, suggested reading lists, notes on current events and politics, and more through this platform. If that sounds good to you, no action needed! You’re already on the list.
This subscription is free for the foreseeable future. There is an option to be a paid subscriber, but that would be a donation. For now—all content goes to all subscribers, free or paid.
But why is it called The Earthly Kitchen? Is there food? Nope, no food. The kitchen is where we make things, where we gather to talk and connect with our families, chosen and assigned, to share ideas, debate current events, talk books, and get our fill.
Does my mission sound like a good fit? If so, stay subscribed for full access to the newsletter and website.
